Sail to Cape Lookout

The beauty of the Cape Lookout lighthouse and its pristine surroundings is unparalleled. You'll really appreciate the stability and comfort of this 45-foot catamaran as we briskly make the six mile ocean voyage to one of the premiere anchorages in America. Out cruise departs at 12 noon for the 1-1/2 hour sail to Cape Lookout where you'll enjoy two hours of unbelievable swimming, snorkeling and some of the best shelling on the east coast.

Upon arrival at Cape Lookout, we beach the boat and serve up a delicious catered lunch from the Beaufort Grocery Co. Restaurant. When you taste their signature sandwiches, salads and desserts, you'll see why locals and visitors alike have made Beaufort Grocery Co. a favorite. Your bathing suit and beach towel are all you need when you come with us to Cape Lookout. The rest is pure enjoyment! On board stairs offer easy access on the off the boat. Large clean restrooms and a freshwater shower are also provided for the return trip where we'll take you past the lighthouse for spectacular photos and a brief history of the 160' tower. So come with us and enjoy a memorable day on the Cape Lookout National Seashore.

Ferry to Shackleford Banks

Pack a cooler, grab your beach chairs and towels and head down to the Beaufort Waterfront.  Just a 15 minute ferry ride away is spectacular and unspoiled Shackleford Banks.  A nine mile long, uninhabited Outer Banks island that is part of  the Cape Lookout National Seashore and right across the water from the Rachel Carson Estuarine Reserve - Shackleford's isolation and beauty is unmatched.  Spend the day walking in the soft sand, sunning on the beach, searching for shells, watching the horses graze, fishing, swimming, surfing, or whatever else makes you happy.  You can bring any of the following on the boat:  coolers, chairs, umbrellas, fishing rods, surfboards, tents, more.

Horse & Waterfront Cruise

Shaded seats are available as you REMAIN on the boat during this 1-1/4 hour narrated trip. This scenic cruise rides you along the entire 3-mile shoreline of the Beaufort waterfront, while also showing you Blackbeard's residence, Fort Macon, Radio Island, Duke Marine Lab and historic downtown Beaufort. Many shore birds may be sighted included Osprey, Ibis, Blue Heron, Pelicans, Egrets & Seagulls. Horses on Carrot Island (Rachel Carson Reserve) may be seen grazing along the water's edge and descendants of shipwrecked Spanish mustangs may also be seen while traveling past Shackleford Banks. This tour completely circles Carrot Island, Horse Island, Sand Dollar Island, Bird Shoal and Town Marsh as we provide the only tour that ventures along this route. Some marine life may also be seen.
