Cruise past the scenic downtown Beaufort Waterfront, Rachel Carson Reserve, Duke Marine Lab and a large variety of boats before reaching the calm near shore waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. Many birds may be sighted including Seagulls, Pelicans, Ibis, Blue Heron, Egrets and Osprey. We'll travel in protected waters that harbor a bounty of life. See tidal marshes, estuaries, salt flats and backwaters. The highlight of the trip is the search for our resident pod of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin. Experience the excitement and get some up-close photos of the amazing agility of playful dolphin during this 1-1/4 hour trip with shaded seats available. Our 18-passenger boat is less crowded, making it more personal, and can go in the shallow waters that some others can't reach. While no guarantees can be offered on this trip, we have a 92% success rate over the last four years of encountering dolphin.

This 1 1/4 hour trip provides a more scenic and slower paced ride than our Dolphin & Nature Cruise.  Shaded seats are available as you REMAIN on the boat during this memorable cruise. This scenic trip rides you along the entire 3-mile shoreline of the Beaufort Waterfront including Blackbeard's house, Fort Macon, Radio Island, Duke Marine Lab and historic downtown Beaufort. We'll show you, from a distance, both the Cape Lookout lighthouse and Blackbeard’s shipwreck site (Queen Anne’s Revenge). Many shore birds may be observed fishing or nesting in the marsh grass. Horses on Carrot Island (Rachel Carson Reserve) may be seen grazing along the waters edge. Descendants of shipwrecked mustangs may be seen while traveling past the stunning shoreline of Shackleford Banks. This tour completely circles Carrot Island, Horse Island, Sand Dollar Island, Bird Shoals and Town Marsh as we provide the only tour that ventures along this route. Dolphin, Sea Turtles and other land and marine life may be encountered.
